To be fair, it wasnt really a public announcement, just on their website.
A reasonable thing to do, given that some people may go to AOTL looking for products from either company.

Like you can't read between lines, and didn't see in that text on their site that they point out on "bad guys" so we all should know who is "bad guys" ?:) It is emotional, and unproffesional. Mature way of doing things if something going real bad and wrong and cant be deal with: "due to our internal issues, we had to reorganize our shop, so at moment can't provide support for", or something, without pointing by finger. But its amiga, quite expected :)

I will be not surprised if after they sort ther problems, there will be another text, where "all is ok". But, even, and if, it is already show that emotions take place, and where emotions is , you can't expect business. But probably it wasn't business at all, just fan-spend-of-time, as most of amiga deals today is :)

i didn't imply you did, however if you clicked on the link from my last post and read the comment from Amigakit which was posted on another thread, this perhaps may offer some further insight as to why Amiga On The Lake have taken the decision pull A-Eon/Amigakit products from their website.


There are always two sides to a story and perhaps we should perhaps await a further official information from Amigakit/A-Eon.

There's no lines to read between. Theyre clearly annoyed. It's not exactly hidden.

At least they restricted this to their own site, which is their prerogative and they're perfectly entitled to do so.

This whole scene is far from professional anyway. Its made up entirely of a bunch of individuals who for the most part just try to share in the creation of a hobby. Its hardly unexpected, or unusual that people will get emotional and argue. It's what we seem to do well.
To be honest Im surprised this hasnt happened before, what with the parasitic nature of the companies involved whose belief that theyre the rebirth and saviour of the amiga seems to be growing daily, and infecting most people they get involved with.

What there to discuss ? Their site, not their site, there , not there, can, or can't , whatever. They publicaly point by finger. By all mean, that bad thing. Any bad thing can be covered and explained like "its not that bad", but it still bad to point by finger.

Why we users, need to know that shit in first place ? Ah, yes, we amgia users, we love to discuss crap and sniff dirty pants :)

I did read amigakit's post & thought it was in poor taste to post in public. This issue is between AOTL & AmigaKit & neither is obligated to explain anything to us. My only wish is that it gets cleared up & we regain our only U.S. amiga dealership back.

Well that sucks for US and Canadian customers interested in A-EON hardware. Hope it can be resolved but it sounds like a pretty big bust up. At least they will continue to supply other Amiga products and there will still be stateside dealer.
