I agree. I have ordered the Cloanato 3.x Roms for several of my Amiga computers. They are basically 3.9 Roms (45.xx). They removed the Workbenck.library from the Roms to make room for the extra enhancements, so the library needs to be on Disk (or the Boot Partition). I was aware of this but it still caused some pain since you couldn't use any version of the Workbenck.library with it. I managed to find a version that worked (I believe it was the original 3.5 or 3.9 library from the OS CDs).

Sorry for the mess... I only wanted to show that updated Kickstart may be not suited for everyone.
Haha, no problem! Opposing points of view are good (of course only when the two sides are respectful of each others position!!)
Basically I had a towered A1200PPC that I got many years ago (before retro was cool and everyone just wanted shot of it) and recently put the motherboard back into a standard case. However I still have the tower case and didn't want to get rid of it as it is a bit of history. I managed to find a cheap(ish) A1200 motherboard and am going to put that back into the case and re-instate it as I have room now for the tower. The new motherboard has old 3.0 ROMs while my original has 3.1.
I want to use the tower as a AOS4 machine as a bit of fun and the 'old' machine as a gaming machine (and maybe a Vampire/Apollo machine later if we ever get it )

There is also a option to made your own custon kickstart ant prom it to chip. That way you can use 1mb rom wich has all the needed parts and more. Like all three filesystems FFS, PFS & SFS etc.
Kickstart rom without workbench.library can be very annoying certain situations. Show stopper. :(
