Yes, please, keep comparting apples and oranges, it's really useful. And if I had bananas in front of my eyes, I'd eat them.

Facebook runs ok on Odyssey on the x5000. although I recommend trying to limit ones use of the stupid website, excessive use of it isn't good for your mental health.

Yeah, as if X5000 was for anything about the browser. Stop comparing things that have nothing to do together.

You are kidding, don't you ?

Don't tell me you bought both X5000/20 and X5000/40 without knowing the limitations of AmigaOS 4.1 regading HD videos ?

If you were aware of these limitations and you come to complain about this now, you'll get the Troll Award of the year 2017.

Seriously, sell your X5000/20 and X5000/40 to people who will know how to use it and enjoy using it. You've already loose all credibility.

@tlosm

I have no problems using Facebook on the x5000 with Odyssey, I can chat, I can post, I can watch videos. Yes I prefer to spoof to say I-pad or windows 10 to have things display in the a nicer format, but you know what isn't it a good thing that a browser which is nearly 4 years old can still handle quite a lot of sites thanks to the spoofing. its a handy tool which allows you to view a lot of websites and needing to spoof as another browser is not just unique to Amiga, there are times when you need to do the same on a PC.

And any browser issues in OS4 are not down to the x5000 being up to the job, its down to the lack of an update to Odyssey full stop which anyone would agree is sorely needed. As I have clearly said and having owned a Sam 460, using Odyssey on the X5000 feels like a completely different browser and things are certainly a lot quicker

What we need is for people to stop arguing, get tapping and start updating for the benefit of us all.

Sell the crap to someone who will use it and like it. And if it is crap, sell it a low price.

You've already loose all credibilty (as I already said) and you are talking about things you don't know.

So yes, you can continue to talk about things you don't know but noone will believe in what you are writing (it's already very difficult to understand to say the truth).

All tlosm is saying is that the X5000 hardware does not fullfill expectations one could have in it on from a general hardware POV. It has flaws nevertheless it is the _best_ OS4 can use.

If your intention is to run OS4, the X5000 is the top device. If you want to run ppc, Apple G5 is best you can get, if you wnat to run a fast computer shut up and get an i7 or Ryzen.

The only thing I'm sure reading all this is that you won't be in another beta program.
The only reviews I trust are from Anandtech, Arstechnica ones are quite good too.

@Spectre660 tested the same gpu on a pc and there there is not this issue. Note the two X5000 case internal fans (mobo fans plugs) continue run with poweroff psu (off psu switch) they stop running only when i pull out the hdmi from the gpu. this issue is present on X5000 20 and X5000 40. reported many time ago to trevor result no reply. this one of the reasons why i exit from the linux manteiners (and all e-eon mailing lists) and not sign the nda for x5000/40 ... no replies to the hw issue (are many) that i found and i had been reported to a-eon. plus they made me pay about 50 gpb +22% vat more the motherboard without ram and pci lans compared the other beta tester and i made the alfa testing 1 year before the betatester. my motto now is #nomoreaeoninmyhome
