Dude, the form factor was a figure of speech: PCI then, PCI-e now, whatever the team finds most suitable, they could do it in usb3 for all I care. The point is to have direct access on (emulated) amiga chipsets. I have a great potrion of classic software that depends on amiga's customs chipsets and every now and then you have to power up e-uae. Even the classic games could benefit since e-uae needs 100% cpu cycles crippling the multitasking capabilities of most NG compatible systems.

If this was to happen again it would not be PCI, it would need to be PCI-E but I do not think it is necessary any more as that moment is gone. All we need is Aros and emulation which we have now and I will be pushing Aros hard over the coming months as I am now determined to make AROS the number one choice in peoples minds with its grea performance on very low cost commodity hardware and AROS being crucial for the Vampire project.

Who are you; the Amiga version of Steve Jobs? Telling Amigans what they SHOULD want is like herding cats!! We'll use what we want and you'd be foolish to tell us that ONLY AROS has a future _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." Not sure I want to be compared to Steve Jobs, an interesting man but Mac's sucked until OSX largely because of him.
However, all I said was I want to try and make Aros number one in peoples minds as they decide what they want and to be honest I will be aiming at those who have left the Amiga fold and not those here already as they can make there own minds up.
Hope that clears it up for you

Do you still have contact with Mick Tinker and Paul Nolan? I assume Paul would've handled the software needed. It would be interesting to have some input from them on the video if possible. |

That is an odd statement, considering how little he had to do with old MacOS - he was busy with NeXT during that time, the OS later known as OSX._________________ B5D6A1D019D5D45BCC56F4782AC220D8B3E2A6CC |

| Great idea. Amiga history is very interesting. Sad but interesting.

He was there during the design of the first Mac, he ensured the lack of expansion, the lack of colour, tiny monitor (which is cute but useless) and well the rest of the initial Mac problems. When he left they started to get more useful as developers saw what was going on and changed them.
Don't get me wrong I think they are cute and I have a Mac SE in my office as an ornament but compared to the Amiga, well need I say more.
I have read all the books about him and seen all the Movies and consider myself an open minded fan of his achievements, but he was also very flawed and should have listened more to Woz
As I said, when Apple got Next OS, sorry Mac OSX, that was when the Mac had a proper OS and finally caught up with the rest of the world started by the Amiga in 85, followed by Windows 95 then a lot later OSX in 2001.
