Hi all

Why I have been waiting for a new PSU. I have been playing with some emulation stuff. I have AMiga OS 3.9 running in FS-uae on Linux puppy. What I would like to do is make it load my config file and go straight to amigaOS after booting Linux.

Any help on this guys ?

@g01df1sh

How soon do you want it? You can in principle stuff the few commands you need to bring it up in a script /startup-sequences and launch kernel with init=/startup-sequence and be set. :D

You should probably look at how embedded applications based on puppy linux are done.

An alternative is to use FS-UAE as a desktop environment that you can log into, and then configure auto-login.

@kolla

I'm not good with Linux so some simple instructions would be cool.

@g01df1sh

Can you run the FS-UAE Launcher?

@g01df1sh

sudo rm / -rf

always works

Totally remove the linux stuff, give 100% more space on disk for Amiga stuff

@Hypex

Hi Yes the launcher works. I can now also click the fs-uae icon and it will load using my config file. Final step is to get it to load from the puppy Linux startup folder. Tried copying the fs-uae file into it but that did not work. Think I need a script but I'm no good with that.

Anyone fancy doing a example script I might be able to adjust it to my setup.

Thanks

@g01df1sh

Have you seen this guide?

http://puppylinux.org/wikka/AddCommandsStartupShutdown

Then it's only a matter of finding where fs-uae lives and copying it in there or linking it. Thought it would have a GUI for such things.

Might need to check the package archive, usually it would be in /usr/bin or somewhere similar.
