Hi

Where can I find the latest free version of Aweb. I had a look around someone said its included in the boingbag 3-4 but I have installed that and my version is still not the full version. I have greyed out buttons on cookie requests very annoying.

Or if you can recommend a better web browser for OS3.9 I did look for OWB but can only find OS4 version.

Thanks
Guys

@g01df1sh

Ibrowse or voyagerv3 are both better browsers then Aweb for classic Amiga.
Problem is for both however is how to get a key file
If you have an extreme fast Amiga (060 minimum, vampire v2 for best performance) also Arti's netsurf port is an option.

I don't know where to find the latest Aweb, probably in the amikit archive?
There is quite "recent" 68000 build on aminet called "aweb apl".
I doubt anyone have been working on it for ages.

Ibrowse is the best and most stable option for surfing on a classic system with some upgrades.
Netsurf on a classic amiga is only for masochists, maybe usuable in the future on a vampire 10 or something but not with the slow hardware we have today.

@g01df1sh

Last "official" 68k was 3.5.09

Can't find the right build on main aminet but there a whole bunch of mirrors here

http://www.filewatcher.com/m/aweb3.5.09_68k_20070721.lha.3521133-0.html

Latest src version is 3.5.11 but there are only OS4 and MOS versions of that at present.

I was working on 3.5.12 to add AmiSSL4 support but had some issues so that's not released yet.

@g01df1sh

Same browser of choice here, netsurf's running quite decent I must say!

I'd love to see Aweb being brought up to date though, too bad I lack the skills needed to attribute to that...
