Hi all

I could do with some help from some indivision aga MK2 users. My card is fitted and I have a display I do seem to have some ghosting that I have read other users have also experienced how do you remove nthe ghosting. I would also like 800 x 600 this mode is shown in the indivision Prefs program but not in screen mode Prefs. If use the indivision Prefs program I get big black borders on most screen modes some modes give me message about drivers not being installed. I have added highgfx and the euro monitors to Devs monitors is there more I can get?

Thanks guys not long to amiwest now

Did you use the Yellow ground wire that came with the card? This should help if you attach one end of the wire to the card and the other to any of the ground pads on the Amiga 1200 (where the motherboard is attached by screws to the case).

Earth made no difference still got some ghosting. How do I also reset overscan press back to defaults. The standard pal mode is missing top and bottom of screen. This is more ofna arse to setup than p96 was.

@g01df1sh

What kind of ghosting exactly? And are you using VGA or DVI output? If it's kind of vertical stripes all over the screen and you're using VGA, disabling the DVI output will help. It makes some kind of interference. For example, if you have VGA+DVI as output for the modes you use, change it to VGA only.

About the resolution issue... if you see 800x600 in the Indivision Prefs, it's only the mode what Indivision will output to the monitor. It's not a screenmode you can select on Amiga. You have to select output modes for all Amiga monitor drivers you want to use. The pixel resolution depends of the Amiga mode and Indivision will just push that through to its output mode. IIRC Super72 did have 800x600 mode by default, so maybe if you configure its output to 800x600 and then select take Super72 in use on Amiga and select suitable mode... haven't tried though, but in theory :) Or maybe that highgfx would have that kind of resolutions too.. haven't tried that either, because I keep my Indivision Amiga purely with PAL/NTSC resolutions.

@jPV

Sort of got the screen modes sorted. But still have slight ghosting. I try the vga/dvi option last time I played with that I just go black screen.

Cable quality as in how well it is shielded can make a big difference especially in Analogue modes such as VGA.

Well, it's quite simple.

If your physical connection to the monitor is with DVI (or DVI->HDMI) then the setting should be DVI or VGA+DVI (the latter is just in case you happen to connect later with VGA and don't have to change the setting before doing that).

But if your physical connection is made with DVI->VGA adapter (to the monitor's VGA input) then you should have it set to VGA. VGA+DVI should also work in theory, but at least on my setup I get some vertical interference lines to the display, so it's better to have just the VGA signal enabled.

And naturally if you have DVI connection but enable VGA-only output or if you have VGA connection but enable DVI-only output, you get a black screen because there isn't any compatible signal going.

@jPV

Thanks for all your ideas. I have picked just vga and now have a solid display with no ghosting. Thanks so much can now start to enjoy my A1200.
