Hi All,

I am trying to setup my towered A1200 with a floppy and gotek drive. I have changed the setting on my Chinon FZ-354 drive to "DS1" but the drive still comes up as DF0. If I connect both drives in then all I get is DF0.

I am using an old floppy cable with two connectors, I have undone the twist that would have been needed for use in a PC so that it is a straight passthough. At least I think that is what I needed to do, there doesn't seem to be much information up about having more than one internal drive (unsurprisingly for an A1200!)

I have found a number of posts here and there about the settings and all are in the right places but I am still not getting anything other than DF0 :(

Am I on the right track with the cable, is there anything else I am missing?

@smartroad

The Amiga requires the "twisted" terminated end of a Dual floppy cable. It's different than the PC cables. The twisted end connects to DF0: and the regular connector to DF1:

Setting the jumper on DF1: was the the right thing to do. Once you get the proper cable you will be good to go.

AmigaKit sells Dual floppy cables for the Amiga. Any Bigbox variations will do (A2000, A3000, A4000, etc.). They also come in different lengths. So keep this in mind when ordering.
