| I'm so used to Cammy promoting the Homebrew Computer Game Competition every year that it seems weird when there's no news! Are they taking a year off or have I missed the announcement? _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

I remember it was called AmiGameJam and there doesn't seem to be any new activity for this year:
https://itch.io/jam/amigamejam
http://amigamejam.ultimateamiga.co.uk/
Both websites relate to the 2016 competition and seem to have no activity for 2017 Last edited by BigD on 09-Dec-2017 at 11:41 AM.

| @BigD I agree with you. My personal website even has a permanent link for it. I called it AmigaChristmasTree

Well, it would be Australia if anywhere, since that is where Cammy lives as do I. But to my knowledge, it's always been an online compo, so no holiday visits to Australia required. Nor are they discouraged. |

So do we know why it didn't happen this year? Is the online competition finished forever or is it just taking one year off? It would be good to clarify what the situation is as this was a really good idea! I'm more of an animator than a games designer but I still hoped I may enter the competition one day _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." I'm assuming that Cammy must be busy with other things right now. I'm not in contact with he so I don't know the reason why she didn't run the competition this or if she will in the future.
There is nothing to stop someone else running one in the future. |
