Help me!!!

I have my Amiga One X-5000 in a bad strange situation.

Let's explain the matter.I think it all went burst after copying my Arabic Console files over Amiga Workbench partition and Z lib.After giving GR error it all turned down and out.The reason why I have my A1-X5000 out of place is that I tried to move files from Workbench: to Work: and then at 75% more or less it stopped on the great Amiga program that is Dir.Opus.

Anyway what do you think?

What do you think are the commands i have to enter on U-Boot to restore the message denial?

I hope you can help me to restore my Amiga OS 4.1 installation.

Thanks

@newlight

Dir opus is not perfect on amigaOS 4.1. (old and not updated)
Were you just copying or some other task (like moving..which copies and deletes)

If just dir opus just died... you might just be able to re-start and resume your copying (?)

You may have to re-install your OS and add your programs one by one..

consider using Amiga Explorer, it's newer and updated.

Workbench Explorer, not Amiga Explorer.

The Arabic Console files look okay. Archive slightly messy. But don't see anything that would ruin a system.

Where did you get ZLib from and why were you installing it? Looks like the system had one built in.

By move you actually mean move, not copy? In that case you need to move them back! Or copy them back, rather.

Anyway what do you think?

I think you should boot the OS4 CD or SD that came with your X5K. You have an OS4 disc that came with it I hope?

What message is it?

I think you need to boot an OS4 disc and then copy the files back from Work.

There is a more recent version of Dopus4 (2015) for OS4.x at OS4Depot. Dopus5 is also there. I've been using the recent version of Dopus4 for several years with no problems.

@Xenic

Thanks for the info.

I still suggest WorkBench Explorer. It has some great new tools that fit todays usage!

Glad you was able to boot OS4 and restore your files. It almost looks as if you rolled across a piano with those anim smileys.
