Because the main issue was solved by deleting the IDEfix file from C: and the Telmex CDrom issue gets most likely solved when I get the Internet WIFI adapter from AMIkit.com, I dedicate this post to the startup error notifications.

"LoadMonDrvs not executable -> this is very odd. Hopefully it's only the executable flag missing and not something more serious like a virus.

Open a Shell window and enter the command
protect c:loadmondrvs rwed
then try again. The "close all windows" requester will disappear once there LoadMonDrv message is gone."

I did the "protect c:loadmondrvs rwed" in shell but that didn't fix the problem.

Who can help me?

If that doesn't work, there's something wrong with the file. Perhaps a virus, but equally likely it's been corrupted. Maybe a patching operation went wrong, maybe your max transfer is too high and is causing corruption as files are being copied.

- If virus: I have a virusscanner installed. should I do a scan in the dev/dos driver folder?
- If corruption: how to solve that?

- Turbocard (no idea which one) with 128mb

If the files are corrupted due to a bad maxtransfer value, you need to correct that for *every* partition in HDToolbox. 0xFE00 will do the trick, some people use 0x1FE00 as well. But there's no easy way to recover corrupted files, really you just need to reinstall the affected files. If the OS or updates were installed and are suspected of being corrupted, I would be inclined to just reinstall them all.

My system does a similar thing if I forget to turn on my IDE connected drive. I feel you may still have something trying to load the CDrom drive. Remove any CD0 CD1 ect from Devs dos drivers

It did have the issue before the cd0 was in the Devs Dos driver. So I think its not related to that.

the error talks about "LoadMonDrvs not executable", so I am still guessing its something with the start sequence. Does the Start sequence (see screenshots) look good? or does it has stuff which doens't suppose to be there?

The startup-sequence isn't the standard OS 3.9 one. It's been modified by the ClassicWB setup you have installed. So I can't say for sure if it's ok or not. But the script itself shouldn't cause problems like you're having, where a standard command is simply refusing to run.

Yep, HDToolbox is in (or at least, should be in) SYS:Tools, though if the drive was prepared with another tool e.g. HDInstTools, you should use that instead. In HDToolbox, run it, select your drive, select partition, then select the first partition. Just below the filesystem information, click Change and check the MaxTransfer in that window. If it's anything above 0x1FE00, that could be the problem, or at least will cause problems in the future, and has likely corrupted any files over a certain size since the partition was created. Repeat for each partition.

The size of the LoadMonDrvs file is 960 bytes. MaxTransfer can only be an issue for files larger than 128 KB.

I cannot recognise it properly in the video, but it looks like the display is an RTG screen mode. This cannot be possible without loading monitor files from devs/monitors; which is what LoadMonDrvs normally does. So if LoadMonDrvs failed, how can the monitor files be loaded?

Something very strange is going on there.

When i look into the devs/monitors I only see one monitor "HighGFX" and a readme...
that doesnt look as much on a os3.9 system :P I also get If I want to change resolution in the indivision preferences "Can't open screen is this monitor driver installed?"

I have not a working cd player, so i can't get it from there. I will get a wifi card (PCMIA) from amikit in a few days, so then I can maybe download it.

Other suggestions which may cause it?

OMG!!! I did a scan on all drives and it found viruses only on the "system" DH0: drive.

It said it removed it from memory, but after restart the issue is there and after new scan the virussen are back (still there). Then I choosed to select all and the "disinfect", then I restarted and it boots back again. Then I wanted to do another scan to see if the virus was gone, but when checking It gives a checksum error and asks to suspend or reboot....

now what...

It's naive to think you could uninfect a computer with the virus activly running in the background.

If thera are so many files infected, it's almost impossible to get rid of it.

The first thing to do when you suspect a virus infection is to switch off the machine. Then fetch a known-good, write protected boot floppy from your security container and boot the Amiga from that. Make sure that you never write-enable the disk and that only programs from that disk are run. Hopefully the disk contains the virus scanner.

Only then the results of the virus scan may be credible.

Nevertheless I would not trust the cleaning function of the anti-virus software. I'd rather replace all infected files by uninfected originals from the respective installation media.

Or even install everything from scratch.

And always keep all floppy disks write protected. Every write-enabled floppy which has been inserted into a drive is most likley infected now, too.
