Hi
I have an A500Plus with the 2.04 v37.175 kickstart booting off an A590 20MB XT sidecar and noted that the OS Workbench is 38.36 or 2.1. I realise that this was shipped as an upgrade to the 600 using the 2.05 and was wondering whether I should degrade the Plus to the 2.04 before I start loading up the computer with bits and bobs.
At the moment the XT boots after quite a long pause but gets there no problem. Generally working fine.

The 2.05 ROM is the minimum for IDE boot support. Since you have an A590, you should be fine with the 2.04 Rom. It will probably be better for your current setup since the 2.04 ROM wont be looking for an attached IDE boot device (thus the pause).
You can use Workbench 2.1 with no issues with a 2.04 ROM.
