@AmigaBlitter

I can't answer your question, but what are you trying to capture? Are you trying to capture the RGB output of the Sam? Or are you trying to use the Sam to capture some incoming RGB video?

I assume you are not trying to capture (analogue) composite video, because there isn't much of it around these days...

@AmigaBlitter

I have an EZCap HD video capture box that captures either HDMI or separate RGB channels (really for consoles I guess)

I use the HDMI out on my x1000 whilst connecting the DVI to the monitor and can so capture what I see.

It doesn't have DVI in but *may* work with a converter.

It works at arrange of resolutions, but can't change resolution mid capture (it does start a new video at the new resolution size but it's always empty)

Audio needs capturing separatly as it can only capture audio in separate RGB mode or via the HDMI,

There are other EZCap rpoducts that may work for you.

If you're talking about a device to capture the Amiga's output, then the Elgato HD60 works well. I've got the HD60 S model, but would recommend getting the plain HD 60. The HD60 S has lower latency, but not enough to be able to use your Amiga via its live preview. By contrast, the HD60 has a built-in encoder that lightens the load on your PC.

Elgato also have a PCIe version, if you've got a big-box PC to plug it in (I'm using a laptop).

Hans
