Hi all

How can I make either my PS3 joypads or my Logitech joypads work with aros. When I plug them in aros sees them but when I load a game xrick for example I can not use the joypads no buttons work.

@g01df1sh

Have a look in Poseidon perfs (Trident); if they are listed under 'Devices' select them and see what options it gives. What you may have to do is match the events generated by the gamepad's buttons with those expected by the game; so for example if it's expecting keyboard input for movement, map the gamepad's buttons to those key events. Anyway, the first thing to do is see if it's listed in the prefs.

Cheers,
Nigel.

@g01df1sh

Now double-click on the device's name; this should bring up a panel detailing its properties. In particular, double click on the 'interface' line in the lister in the bottom part of the panel. This should open a hid.class panel with different tabs. Have a look at the Action tab - it should list the various buttons and controls on the gamepad. You can track their inputs by using the 'Track incomming events' and 'Report current values' tickboxes. You can, using the options in the bottom half of the table, now set whatever actions you want for those buttons, i.e. make them match what's required for the game's input.

Cheers,
Nigel.
