are you talking about aros owb or odyssey? because these are two different browsers.
what concerns aros owb, im not sure where the problem may be with x86, however you might perhaps increase stack at least temporarily and see if it helps, for instance loading from a shell, issue "stack" command followed by an insanely high number like 5000000 in advance of owb.
you might also disable js in prefs, as well as check if loading images via datatypes helps.
also if it doesnt seem to load, perhaps it is just re-building font cache. it can take a while. |

Open shell and type:
Ping some web address example: Ping www.vg.no
You should receive packets and with CTRL + C you break the connection.
You should not have packet loss. How is that working?

Thats the weirdest thing ever. It has just started to work. Im now using broadway but that was having the same issues as Aspireos. So im non the wiser.
Oh moving on now. How do I make broadway pick native gfx from boot up. I have selected it in prefs and it works fine. How erver on a reboot it picks vesa so I have to manual pick native every time. _________________ A1200 ACA1232 128MB Indivison MkIICr Elbox empty Power Tower RPi3 Emulating C64 ZX Atari PS BBC Wii with Amiga emulation Vampire v4 SA |

you might need to go to netwoks prefs and start it, so long you are using the correct driver, that is. which i assume, since it worked once. but then i have only an experience with it on 68k, not on x86. |

| You might done something wrong setting up network. Not very strange as it could be more user friendly.
Other commands that is good to know from shell is. Startnet and Stopnet. You can also from network.prefs tick the box to startnet when you boot.
I guess you use ethernet cable. That might not work. For your hardware it is wi-fi chip that is supported. From network.prefs you can see the wi-fi setup and select for driver the first one. Atheros5000.device Have a look here.

If you don't have network connection OWB or Odyssey will not start.

You need to set up fixed DNS servers for your internet connection. Try 8.8.8.8 if you don't have any clue about DNS used by your provider. |

Hi
It is wifi that I am using. Really not sure why it started working all of a sudden. Don't think I did anything different from the first time.

It is very easy to type network name wrong. Uppercase letters etc. All need to be 100% correct.

I give up wifi sucks on Amigaos apart from Morphos on Powerbook. One minute it works then the next day it don't. Whats the driver to use on aspireos for wired connection maybe that will work more stable _________________ A1200 ACA1232 128MB Indivison MkIICr Elbox empty Power Tower RPi3 Emulating C64 ZX Atari PS BBC Wii with Amiga emulation Vampire v4 SA |

Wireless SSIDs have always been case sensitive. You should know what you're talking about before making sweeping disparaging remarks about the WiFi stack. |

Never had to worry about the ssid on other platforms just pick it from the list of avaliable wifi hotspot and then type password. Once done once system rembers it. No need to manually specify it. Still least it works now. _________________ A1200 ACA1232 128MB Indivison MkIICr Elbox empty Power Tower RPi3 Emulating C64 ZX Atari PS BBC Wii with Amiga emulation Vampire v4 SA |
