I enjoy the forums almost daily but probably more a lurker these days, to busy working on Amiga projects and posting in other forums. |

If you'd read the link to Mac-Forums you'd have seen the moderators pointing to Facebook as the obvious extension of their forum once it's dead! |
If Facebook is the "obvious extension of" Mac-Forums then it's no wonder Mac-Forums is dead. Facebook is a horrible place as far as I'm concerned, where everything is modeled on a timeline and it's well nigh impossible to find old stuff you actually need.
As I wrote, Fedora Forum is still going strong as far as I can tell, as are other Linux forums. They're even useful, which is more than I can say for Facebook._________________ I've decided to follow an awful lot of people I respect and leave AmigaWorld. If for some reason you want to talk to me, it shouldn't take much effort to find me. |

| "Yes" if you let it. Places like this forum are special. Just say no to Facebook.

The forums are dying because of a lack of interest in the Amiga. |
My point was that the forums medium is dying generally and then I used a Mac forum as an example. [CUT] |
People spend all their time on social forums nowadays.
Apple dandy users are addicted to Instagram and Periscope that's why their forums are dying._________________ "When the Amiga came out, everyone [at Apple] was scared as hell." (J.L. Gassée, former CEO of Apple France and chief of devs of Mac II-fx, interviewed by Amazing Computing, Nov 1996). |

Yes you're right. Find older infos on Facebook is a PITA... Last edited by Raffaele on 09-Feb-2018 at 02:59 PM.

| No, but Amiga.org and Amigaworld.net should be merged.
