On MorphOS and AROS is there a default tool to extract an Lha archive (from command line)?

I'm pondering on a NextGen tool so I'm interested to know...

I know AOS4 has UnArc but what about MorphOS and AROS?

@marko

MorphOS have built in support for archives in Ambient (via XAD system).
So if you click an LHA archive as an example it list the content in a normal Ambient lister.
Apart from that Lha and the XAD commands are in the system as standard. (XADUnFile etc)

@marko

Here's a list of default shell commands in MorphOS:
http://library.morph.zone/Shell_Commands

As you can see, LhA is included as well as many other archivers, and as told XADUnFile unpacks about everything. OS4 also comes with XAD installed, so you could use XADUnFile as unified command for both versions. No idea if AROS comes with XAD too.. maybe, google? :)

@Develin & jPV

Thanks for the info!

So checking out Lha in MOS Library, it says "non-standard arguments, type "LhA" for more information", without MorphOS I'm unable to check...

So if I would have an archive file.lha, would the below in command line work (to extract the files)?

CLI:> lha e file.lha ram:

@marko

AROS has both shell and GUI built-in commands/apps to manage archive files, including LHA ones. There's also XAD support and, by the way, if you run Icaros Desktop you have - by default - Dopus 5 already handling them.

I guess the arguments are just same as elsewhere with lha, but here is the output from MorphOS LhA.

@paolone

Thanks for the info! I take it as I can take (almost) for granted that Lha is installed by default, right?

@jPV

Excellent! The arguments looks the same as in AOS4, then the above CLI command line above should work, perfect. Thanks for you help!
