| I've never personally felt the need for naming a computer but each to their own.
I remember that Tony Horgan of CU Amiga called his A4000 "Bitch" because of it's temperamental nature.
Maybe you'll see some sort personality emerge over time that can inspire a name for your X5000. I think that would be far better than some arbitrary name or label. |

How about the name of a song from the Judas Priest album released yesterday, called 'Spectre' or (staying with the Priest theme) one that I think sounds cool from a much older album, 'Starbreaker'.
Edit - I guess 'Spectre' has been used on computers before, but I REALLY like 'Starbreaker'.

I called my Amiga-NG "minuet" after the name on my Antec Minuet case.
This name seemed to fit nicely at the time.

Wanted to say you should name it "The Falcon" to honor the Millenium Falcon From Star Wars....but then I suddenly recalled there once were an Atari Falcon, and suddenly the name proposal seemed...quite misplaced dohh....coff coff...!!

| Congrats on the x5000! I've had mine since July of last year - it's taken some time to get used to it and setup the way I want it. Hopefully more of the gremlins have been worked out - I had a fun time with sound cards, NICs, etc when I first got mine.
