Hi Guys

For the last few weeks I cannot any longer login to my Nat West bank account to look at my statements, I get an SSL error. Any ideas how I can resolve this?

@sicky

To be quite honest I'm suprised you could in the first place. NwtWest rejects unrecognised browsers, or used to anyway.

Which browser were you using? I'd guess Odyssey?

On linux I noticed that that I got a certificate error for one natwest url, that redirected to the actuall online banking URL, it could be related to that. You could try ignoring SSL errors, there's an option in the settings IIRC.

Or try the nwolb.com url direct rather than personal.natwest.com or whatever you start from

I'd strogly recomend you use a secure operating system for banking.

@broadblues

Ageee I wouldn’t be using my Amiga for any online banking transactions either in fact my bank even advertises the fact that I should only be using their supported list of browsers or my online transactions between my various accounts are not then covered under their fraud protection program.

However it would be nice if one day we could 🙂

@sicky

I had the same with the Royal Bank the other day - which uses the same web interface.

Was it Error 35 ?

Doesn't AmigaOS ship with a big fat label warning about doing such things? :)
