| Hi,
If anyone wants to see the difference an HDMI Repeater/Extender has on the Vampire's HDMI output watch my YouTube video here:

I would recommend this cheap but very effective add-on to anyone.
(This is my first video shot with a point and shoot camera, actually it turned out pretty good considering).

Nice.
My monitor didn't like it at all. It would constantly blink on and off, not even colored lines like yours.
I bought one of these for about $7 at the time and it doesn't even have a power connector.

Worked great for me too.

Excellent. I will see if this one performs as well as my current one. It's also smaller :).

I tried out the cheaper HDMI extender and it doesn't perform as well as the slightly more expensive unit I found on Amazon. It exhibits noise from time to time. Pretty much the same as if I was hooked up directly to the Vampire's HDMI output.
I would definitely recommend the one I am using. Plus it's HDMI 2.0 compliant vs 1.4a of the cheaper unit. The one I purchased can use longer cable lengths (probably boosts the signal more as well).
HDMI 2.0 Repeater

Sorry to hear I wasted your money.
It worked out perfectly for me, although you can never tell from batch to batch whether they are changing internal components on these cheap devices.
I was using a gender changer internally at the Vampire to connect it, so that might have helped the signal too. Then I had a pretty short cable from it to the monitor. |

No worries. I am sure I will be able to use it for other stuff. The thing with monitors; some are very tolerant of signal inputs while other are not. Pretty much a crap shoot :)
