Amiga is happy to announce the long awaited t-shirts have shipped and should
be arriving as you read this message.

Garry Hare, CEO of KMOS and Amiga, said, "it's about time, isn't it".

Prior to shipping we constructed as accurate a mailing list as possible.

Happy New Year - The Amiga Team

@HMetal

Finally some good news about the Amiga! After the last set of bad news wrt the usb ports on AmigaOnes (I know it's a first-gen product, but sheesh!), followed by Apple's release of the new 'mac mini', things were looking pretty grim.

I don't suppose you could tell us if this is a one-off event or is KMOS finally breaking radio silence and we can expect more news from them in the coming weeks?

@HMetal

I'm pleased that they have finally shipped. KMOS has started with a clean slate and now they have earned a little confidence from the community. A good first step.

Frankly I don´t see this only as T-shirts.
It´s also a statement, something like "we don´t promise much, but what we promise we deliver, sooner or later".
That sounds good to me, for the future.

Then, of course, all of us hopes it will be sooner

Will these shirts be for sale?
(or has Kmos decided the shirts are solely a loss leader?)

@T_Bone

heh, was going to ask the same thing. I see the amiga.com store is still down, awaiting 'will be back open in January 2005.'

Hopefully it will be re-opening this month, and if the Ts are available, I'll gladly pick up one or two.

It'll be interesting to see if any other website changes or announcements are forthcoming.

Still a good move, one thing made right is still something done right.

@wegster & T_Bone

Amiga used to sell clothing merchandise - I got a couple of branded polo shirts (one black, one white) with the logo embroidered. Very nice fit, high quality fabric.

Got stung for VAT when the delivery guy turned up, though

@Chunder

Yeah, I've seen their store a fair number of times....but haven't recently felt sure an order would in fact go through, hence asking again now
