Here's another report on the Ottawa Amiga show from last weekend. This one will be handy if you're looking to mix Amigas and pubs.

Looked like a good show . The consumption of makes it that so much better . Also good to see AmigaDE getting an appearance.

BTW, did Randy have any news?

The Royal Oak pub has (I believe) 27 beers on tap, and was the first pub to bring beer from Belgium which have made a pretty good impression here.

I spent the evening asking the waiter to bring me "another dark beer I haven't tried yet". The last one I had was Leffe Brun nad that was really nice.

The beer Zoltan was having was Hoegaarden - a wheat beer that I will have to try again one of these days, even though in general I don't like blonde beers.

Okay, lets see what I can do here:

Ottawa's Market : No one I know is in the photo, but to the left is the Market Marriot hotel. After that is the parking lot for the CHUM mediamall, then Fat Tuesdays (so-so), the Fish Market (excellent), then Irving Rivers - a neat place. The gothic-castle-looking place is Revenue Canada, and the tower at the far right is the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill - webcam available here.

Setting up the LiveWire/ACK Software Controls : Justin Hemmings has his back turned, and the two heads on the far left are Tammy and Lucie.

Pre-fest feast at Nagina?s Indian buffet:
Left: Justin, Kermit and Robert.
Right: Jay, myself and my wife, Tracey.

Next 3 photos - identified.

and visitors from far and wide come to check out the new systems: left to right - I think thats Dale's grey sweater (containing Dale), Steph, David, Kermit, Paul, Robert, and Adam (whew).

Second to last picture "Sunday brunch at Patty Bolands":
Left: David, myself, Craig, and Justin.
Right: Michael, Eric, Sandra, Tracey and Lucie.

I think that covers everything there. My show report can be found at http://www.technomages.net/amigashow/

Okay, thats really enough out of me.

it was a Hoegaarden, very nice :) There's a few places in Ottawa and Toronto that serve it.

If you're ever in Toronto, a good site to check out is:

Yes, it was a good show, mostly because of the people. This year we had people from out east (NovaScotia), southside (Minisota) and points in between. Tom and myself where the only ones showing AmigaDE stuff- we did get a few questions about it, of course, most people where more into the other systems - I can't blame them :)

Randy did show up for a bit, he talked to a few people there, but I didn't get a chance to talk to him.

No problem - I was curious to see if I could remember everyone's name. The it was really excellent to have time to sit around and talk with everyone to get to know them.

Randy was at the show for about two hours, talking with users.
