News   News : AmigaOne / OS4 Article Published in BYTE Magazine...
posted by Anonymous on 30-Jan-2004 21:48:05 (3264 reads)
An article written by Sinan Gürkan about AmigaOne / AmigaOS4 is published in February issue of BYTE Magazine (Turkish edition). Amiga is also mentioned on their cover... Here is the translation of what it says on the cover: " Amiga Again!. Amiga is reborn. Its new competitor is PCs on our desktops!". Also an AmigaOS4 / AmigaOne slideshow in MPEG format is included on their cover CD.

It seems that, little by little, All things Amiga are climbing back into the spotlight. This can only be termed a Good Thing®.

Amiga Yeniden!

No matter what "some" people say, the name Amiga still gets a lot of attention! And I mean in a positive way.

Unlike other (no names mentioned) alternative systems a lot of people know the AmigaOS and have fond memories of it, that will be a big advantage when releasing a system (MicroA1?) for a more broad public.

Good work Sinan, it's nice to see the Amiga mentioned in more mainstream magazines, also enjoyed reading the swedish article the other day :)

So will we get a translation of your article?

heh cool, i wish we had some coverage in norway also :)

btw troels: there is one catch , amiga gets attention indeed but if it will be a success is another thing and most of all , will AmigaInc and its partners really push "the os/hardware" brand as far as it should*/possible ?

imho the new amiga hardware aint exactly "WOW" in anyway for now but things in that department will hopefully change when the a1micro is out and ofcourse OS4..

the alternate os's have some good strategics indeed, but they dont have the name but in the end it might turn out to be yet another VHS VS BETA thingy, if u know what i mean..

I can't read a word of that article, but never mind, it is indeed "a good thing".

All publicity is good publicity and all that :)
