Yes, I know: it's not a bug, it's a feature. Doesn't matter, until OS4 is done A1 will be a crappy old piece of hardware anyway. IIRC the microA1 doesn't have this problem.

BTW, using hdparm -t in Linux on our P4 2.8 ghz PC the following result is obtained: 42.28 MB/S On the A1 with the same test I can get between 37 and 41 MB/S.
Yes the A1 is old compared to modern PCs but it is by no means a slouch and most importantly will do what we want.. run os4.
