It supports MS Word documents! This could be our solution to the word processor problem..

Nice!

Is this the only office suite we have right now, or are there older office apps, and if so how do they compare with this one?

Has anyone tried it under OS4? I'd love to be able to ditch my PC once and for all, and this could be a significant step in that direction...

yeah we just need to make sure the red trolls on ann.lu shutup so they dont put off developers like Titan, who are more "leaning towards" MOS..

(nothing wrong with leaning towards anything btw)

How do you plan to do that? And I did have a quick look over at ANN and I must actually say that this topic is (still) going on exceptionally quiet and without the usual trolling!?

Anyway IMO AmigaOS4 could use a product like Papyrus, an office product originating from the Atari community! Another 'MS Word' supporting alternative might be a port of H&P's 'Amiga Writer'.

There are probably other reasons than platform preferences why Titan may not want to support AmigaOS4. There have been major problems between them and Hyperion in the past, so I hope this bad blood would get sorted out one day, for the good of the Amiga community.

I'd never visited Titan Software's website before now, and I must say what an excellent site! Everything is well laid out, it looks great, it works properly in Amiga broswers and the navigation design is very well though out indeed.

I like a good website, sets a good first impression I think - well done on that front Titan software!

I am definately interested in a good office package for AmigaOS and while I don't yet own AmigaOS4 it will be a future upgrade of mine for sure so I feel that an OS4 native version would be beneficial for everyone. More sales for Titan Software, and more decent software for us budding OS4 users. I certainly think the port will be worth the effort, afterall the jump from AmigaOS_68K to AmigaOS4 isn't that big a jump in terms of porting software is it. Since the software is clearly aimed at Classic Amiga (as well as MOS of course) at the moment, can I ask is the software to have WarpOS support?

On a slightly different note, I'm also very interested in your new version of BurnIT which, apparently, will have DVD recording capabilities. The Amiga seriously lacks a nice, comfortable DVD recording package which actually works properly and I'm sure most others will agree that an AmigaOS version will make a lot of people very very happy indeed. I notice that your website says "CD & DVD recording for MOS and AmigaOS". Does this mean that an AmigaOS version is actually in the works? And, to repeat a similar question, is there any chance of an AmigaOS4 native version in addition to a Classic Amiga version?

Thanks Titan Software for supporting the Amiga Community.

Brian

Looking forward to trying out a demo if it becomes available...OS4 needs a good office suite, and this one looks promising.

OpenOffice for Linux is nice enough (love the PDF support and broad compatibility with other formats), but I could really use something snappier for everyday document editing.

@jahc

DocDatatypes has supported that for a very long time now. Only problem is that Wordprocesosrs don't seem to use it! Someone should make a patch for wordworth7/others

Same here, I'm keen to get a modern replacement for Wordworth Office as Digita aren't interested any more.

Titan made great software for classic Amigas.
They also did a videoediting prog for Morphos only.

Papyrus looks great on Morphos but the Amiga version isn't even beta with many bugs.
A recent interview in AMIGAplus stated that it's not sure if a AOS4 will ever come. though that was long before the prerelease was out.

I think I also read somewhere that TITAN isn't on the AOS4 developer list, but I could be wrong here.

But I would definetly buy an AOS 4 version. I have the PC version installed on my wife's PC.
