Why?
Is it because you are able to use a platform independent Java IRC client in addition to dozens of other IRC clients for various platforms including AmigaOS?
Once upon a time in a distant Galaxy far far away, I also had my own IRC channel called "Amiga Chat" and some people called it a PC-Chat room at the time because people could also use a Java IRC client to connect to the IRC channel. But back then Java IRC clients were still pretty new. Or is there some other reason why you would call it pc-chat?

The irc network is just a network, what you are referring to is one of the channels on the network.
People talk about, more or less, what they want, unless they are trollin'. |
