Dietmar- so is this going to be superceded by a different product, or?
In other words, the current or soon product line is AIX Studio and micro-golded, or did I miss one?

In fact IIRC GoldED "Developper Edition" is only a special offer of GoldED AIX with all required Developper Add-ons (SDK, compilers, etc.) but none of the other (email editing, spellchecker, etc.) at discount price.
I think Dietmar stops this discount offer but that does not means allready registered users won't be supported nor updated... That's All : if you want GoldED editor at a special price then go now else be prepared to pay the full price (and IMHO it worths the full price... Even if I bought mine at a special christmas (?) offer

That's correct. The discount packages are either made free, like last week's microgolded, or the offer ends, like this one. Has nothing to do with development or support, it's just a marketing decision.
