I actually received this email;

Dear AmigaMac,

We'll be glad to see you on our new web site www.simple-date.com.
You can find a lot of new friends, romantic acquaintanceships or even the love of all your life.
We are waiting for you. Try our service and you won't be disappointed.

Sincerely Yours,
www.simple-date.com

Of course I do use 'AmigaMac' at a couple different Amiga related sites, so I'm not really pointing fingers or anything.

Will someone who gets this email please send me the attachment, or a link to it, so I can add it to my collection.

@Brian

...Although I've yet to receive one and haven't received such an email (aw fake) in over a year, and didn't know about this problem re-surfacing, so it is news to me of sorts, although the part about the membership cancellation had me lol'ing for a couple of seconds.

i for one completly boycott m$ (since years and years)
..it's even -very- rare for me to click on some link when there 's "windows" or "m$" written on it. but here on amiga website such a news item it's unforgivable

Meh, its not windows users as such. More like Outlook/Outlook Express users. Those of use using Thunderbird and the like are completely immune :o)

@Cecilia

Classy. I like this one much better.

@Freaks

Sorry, but as soon as OS4 is final I'll be back on AmigaOS for good, but we still need Firefox (at least) for a decent browser (not to slam the guys how have given us Ibrowse, Aweb and Voyager) but there needs to be modern browsing functions for many of us to completely come back. Sorry but that's the truth. And no, I don't care to use Linux. I can install it, configure it, and make it do whatever I need, but I choose not. I've just never been a real Unix/Linux fan. Amiga, on the other hand, will always have my heart. No matter what.

@Gnarly

Yep, I use Thunderbird and Firefox. I never have the problems that others using IE and Outlook/Outlook Express have.

@thread

Sounds like some disgruntled user who is out for revenge.

The majority of Amigans also use Winblows.
Only the virus creators and spammers are the stupid ones.

I agree, we need A decent Web-Browser, the only reason I go back to my PC is to go to web-site I can't with Aweb.

OS4 will come of age when someone writes a Virus for it.

Not that I'm daring anyone or anything...

luckily, the penguin became popular enough so one can find a job as linux engineer or maintenance tech on "real" networks (not netbios-like lol)

and for elwood: speak for yourself ;)

well just out of curiosity i checked the thread , but it's over, i can't stand speaking or hearing about that ####Os
i won't answer in this thread anymore.. beside i said what i had to.
