The Anime Development for Amiga Team has uploaded a new OS4 Alphaversion
of their 3d Engine, Soms3d, at http://www.intuitionbase.com/soms3d

The new engine requires at least AmigaOS4 Update3 and a warp3d compatible 3d card (Voodoo,Radeon 7000 or 7500)

A Warpos version will follow soon.

I was wondering when we will be able to test soms3d on OS4!

Sadly i have a Radeon9200SE and i must wait os4 final release to test it!

Well done.

EDIT: the new screenshots looks good!

Well a R7500 doesnt cost the world;)
Its always good to get a "emergency" Graphicscard.

Amigan must think like Linux users: do not buy the latest hardware as writing drivers take time.
I bought a R7200 and now I'm happy

Damn, technology goes too fast!
Faster than what the OS4 team can do right now. Be patient, drivers will come, one day.

This game looks REALLY good for an amiga only game made in the year of 2005!
(Maybe it isn't amiga only though?) But what I mean, it's not exactly made by Capcom. Downloading the exe now. This might turn out to be the best Amiga game since Payback. Really good work guys! It has taken a looong time to get to the point where you are now, don't loose that spark! Go for it!

i really dont understand why you guys aint just grabbing a 7500 from ebay... PCI or AGP, its not like its expensive or anything.

you can use 2 Radeons at the same time if youre so inlove with thwe 9xxx...

anyway, mangaclub as i have said..looking good now we just need to be quiet for a year while u guys can design the game

Hi all,

I can't believe my eyes. Such a professional game for the Amiga is happening.

Cheers to the developers. You're awsome.

Firbodi

I like it It reminds me Clive Barker's Undying. With the appropriate mucic and sound effects it could create a great atmosphere.

Hmmm... That's pretty slick.

Course, there's work to be done but it has the foundations for a nice thing there.

Hi all,

I ran it on my computer:

1024x768: 15-23 fps
640x480: 25-35 fps
320x240: 57-75 fps

I think the fps shows the real-time fps. If you don't move anything, fps show 0. To steer fast I had to chage the mouse sensitivity to 6.0 in the config file. Default is 2.8! And aslo I think that there should have been some means to change the walking/running speed too. They are too slow. I know that the engine can cope with it, becuase it does very well in steering when mouse sentivity is high.

Just a suggestion.

Cheers,
Firbodi

well hold down shift while running..then you run faster.
the mousespeed also matters how hight you set the mousespeed in input prefs.
Oh and if you run in window mode then you will get more fps..but thats only a radeon problem.
