   posted by A1200 on 1-Sep-2005 3:03:56 (6267 reads)
We have made some significant changes to the website, which include the time of the event, confirmed exhibitors and other useful information. We have given it a new look on an easy to navigate, single page.

If you have not yet booked in as an exhibitor, a part of our bring and buy or as an A1 XE owner who needs their USB/IDE fix done, and wish to do so, please do it now so we can plan the hall layout accordingly.

Any comments/suggestions, please get in touch. The website is: www.amigabigbash.net

You have me doubting myself but it looks ok from here.

Edit: It is client side (JavaScript) so check your computer's clock is correct.

Does mean that people not in British Summer Time will not appreciate the countdown on the last day but then if they are in the wrong time zone, they are not at big bash!

I will stick a php one on that works of my server's system time, when I get chance.

1387944 days 2 hours 14 minutes and 45 sec to big bash three?

That's a long time, some 3802 years, 214 days, 2 hours, 14 minutes and 45 seconds.

So judging by this, it will be roughly in March 5808

Firefox 1.0.6 here on WindowsXP, timezone is GMT+0.

Edit: IE 6.0 on WindowsXP however is correct, except for the minor timezone differences.

I see that they'll have MorphOS on display... presumably in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet, stuck in a disused lavatory, with a sign on the door saying "Beware of the Leopard"

(Just kidding! I'll be glad of the opportunity to a modern version of MOS running.)

"Great food (included with entry fee)"

I meant to ask about this earlier. Going by what has been said in the past, you have to pay £10 extra when buying the entrance ticket (at say 1pm), so that you can eat at 6pm-ish, right?

I don't know about anyone else, but it seems a bit unreasonable to have to pay up to 5 hours in advance of when I want to eat, by which time I might have changed my mind (and even have gone home).

ChrisH

There is a finger buffet during the day (sandwiches, sausage on sticks that kind of thing), and the big meal is optional, and you would not pay that unless you hang about for a nosh up with all us other fat b****ds!

I will fix the clock everyone, please bear with me, I am quite busy with work but I will try to do it ASAP.

@A1200
Thanks for the explanation. Sounds fine to me, especially the 'finger buffer' (which I didn't know about).

Somehow Total Amiga magazine (and it's website http://www.totalamiga.org ) are no longer mentioned as exhibitors! We will be there I assure you all, SEAL is the usergroup who produce Total Amiga and they (us) are mentioned, what happened to TA and website link?

@Sicky

Mikey_C told me to either have SEAL or TAM listed but I could not remember which he said, which would you prefer it to say?

I will change accordingly.

We would prefer Total Amiga is mentioned on the websit5e as that will be more important to people IMHO

Impressive-looking site, dunno about that particular shade of lilac though!

I haven't seen Paul (The_editor) mentioned as an exhibitor (not exhibitionist!)

Presumably he'll be there, so he can show AmigaOne owners my Amiga-generated film!

@All

TAM has replaced SEAL as a exhibitor.
The purple I thought would be nice on the eyes instead of the scarlet.
The_Editor is the main man so I did not think to list him as an exhibitor but like the other organisers, will have a machine or two on display for your pleasure.

Countdown fix coming soon, until then use IE and be in BST.

/me bows.

I'd love to make it to one these Amiga shows someday.

Will there be beer?
