| Ooooh! Wonder what exciting things are in there...?
Does this imply that the AmigaOne line of machines is not going to be updated anymore, as there is now no longer a forum specifically for the owners? When will we see an "Amy '05 Owners Forum" appear? |

No it means nothing of the sort, it was a decision made by AW staff for several reasons By no means an exhaustive list):
1) Eyetech originally sponsored AW.net for a year and asked for the forums, that sponsorship has since run out.
2) There was a lack of guidance and clarity on providing access to the forum and who was to administer it.
We are by no means authorised or knowledgable enough (this is the staff as a whole not individual members ) to make a statement on Eyetechs business/future plans.
Please do not try and get the rumour mill grinding away based on this.
Regards

Maybe Troika don't want to label their hardware AmigaOne. |

Probably because they're not allowed to as the AmigaOne name belongs to Eyetech... Quote:

And, to be honest, who cares anyway? It's only the name after all, and in any case I think they should still be able to call it AmigaTwo, AmigaThree or whatever, if they really want to. |

I know this question was answered before, but...perhaps people who bought USED A1's couldn't get access???? |

It was not only buyer of used AmigaOnes who had problems getting access. I bought my AmigaOne direct from Eyetech was not able to get access to the owners forum before now! |

| Hassle about getting it and now it's free?
Well, same for me. Hopefully "They" don't come and get my A1 too... |

When I bought my first (Second-hand) A1 (though the cpu was dead) I tried to gain access to that forum for a month or two, then I gave up !...
So that's good news !

| I too was an Amiga One owner who couldn't get in.
Now I'll be able to see what they're been saying about us!
And more importantly, Helgis is back! |

| Well hey, the eyetech A1 is a dead platform anyway, so no reason not to open it.
Now, off to read! |

Would it be a positive gesture to post the information concerning the "opening" of the former "AmigaOne Owners forum" to other website such as Amiga.org?
