Yes they dont! They do OS4 4 pleasure and money! And you ? What is with you, do you owe as something ....? Apology for example for all this months of waiting.... Sometimes is beter sit and wait then do something halfway...remind me on A.Inc |
Wow! You really looking for an Argument aren't you? 1: Yes, they are doing OS4 for money. But do you know, I doubt if it's gonna make them rich somehow. Yes, I am sure the Friedens will be driving a Ferrari each when they have finished OS4 and it goes final, I mean, the Amiga market is SOOOOO HUGE!
The only reason they are still at it, is cos they are Amiga users through and through, most people would have given up by now and left. Like a lot of other companies have left the Amiga Market.
Without Hyperion's love for the platform we wouldn't be this far, just remember that next time you post another rant.
As to the Apology, if you want Hyperion to finish OS4 sooner, dig deep into your pocket, come up with a lot of money so that more programmers can be hired, and therefore OS4 will be finished quicker. To be honest, I think it's YOU who has to apologise for your boorish behaviour.
You can't compare Amiga inc to Hyperion, at least Hyperion still talk to us and care which is more than can be said about Amiga inc.Last edited by Mikey_C on 15-Dec-2005 at 05:16 PM. Last edited by Mikey_C on 15-Dec-2005 at 05:15 PM.

| Absolutely well f***ing done to all you half empty glass drinkers out there...
Here is an opportunity to hear from the development team behind the programme that will give us a new lease of life and you slate, slag and bitch, and demand apologies?
I'm not one to want to rile people up but if it was such a big thing to you lot why didn't YOU keep Amiga OS going? Is it because you haven't got the scrupples and abilities to build something and demonstrate it to the public? I for one don't have the technical know how and I just appreciate the fact a bunch of Amiga lovers in their spare time have the inclination to do so.
Hyperion owe us NOTHING!!! If it was that big an issue why didn't you offer your services to Amiga inc??? So they've taken a while longer to build the OS? But ask yourself in reality how long would it take you to build a fully functional and tested Operating System? Include any programming you'll need to teach yourself, beta testing... NOW ADD full time work and families.
I've heard people say, well XP was done in this time, or VISTA has been done in that time, Microsoft and Apple have massive budgets, entire teams to put to such a project. They can spend hours around the clock in development, testing and marketing. If you want to bitch anymore and slag those guys at Hyperion off for actually taking the time and do something I've never heard MS or Apple do then please do, but remember, if you're not going to/can't develope and support the OS who is?
I just wish all of us could contribute to the hard work that Hyperion are doing.
We are a tiny community with a tiny development community, if you want to alienate us even more, then when Amiga dies, and it will if you carry on like this, don't go crying on the boards about how you miss Amiga because when everyone takes the p!ss out of you remember you contributed to the alienation of those developers that stuck with us and wanted to develope for us... |

| just a note.. the latest version of wookiechat for os3 (1.9.1) is slightly broken. it locks up when you try to switch between tabs or when you close a tab.. I've fixed it in the most recent beta, and I hope to release 1.9.2 officially soon. I'm just trying to do other little bits to it first. |

I think you need to calm down a little.
We can only gather and send the questions if for whatever reason the questions aren't answered we can't be responsible. What do you want us to do? Go visit Hyperion and shake them until they answer?
Now, the reasons have been explained to everyone and it has now been decided this is the best course for Hyperion. If you can't accept it then thats YOUR problem. |

Well said. Also, it has been said a few times that Hyperion would answer the questions if and when they could. I don't remember anybody promising any answers anyway. Then again.. My memory aint tha... Erm.. What are we talking about ? Last edited by Seer on 15-Dec-2005 at 07:44 PM.
