| I wish people would stop wishfully asking when OS 4 ports will be available, it's getting tiresome everytime you read news about OS 3.x software to find a thread of, 'where's the OS 4 version?' posts.
Anyway, nice to see an update - poseidon is |

I think we better not wish Poseidon is ported on OS4 but rather wish Sirion will be improved in order to be on par with Poseidon (speaking of driver availability, not functionnality as this is almost the same on this regard). I think the worst we can wish for OS4 is to have two different USB stack system which will undoubtedly end in another "religious" war between the supporters of each system... But that's just my 2 cent... _________________ AOS 4.1 : I dream it, Hyperion did it ! Now dreaming AOS 4.2... Thank you to all devs involved for this great job !

| Functionality on par with Poseidon? - I have extensively tested both and Poseidon is still way ahead. It also has a far better UI. However in balance, it has to say that OS4's USB support is still beta, Poseidon is not - it's a full release. _________________ Amiga Kit Amiga Store Links: www.amigakit.com | New Products | A600GS

I've been using Poseidon since it came out, first with a Subway card in my A3000 and more recently on Amithlon with the ArakAttack drivers and certainly agree it is absolutely excellent. It's one of the things that enables me to keep using AmigaOS for most of my computing needs. I've just upgraded my keyfile to 3.2 and it works better than ever. Who would have guessed that a USB stack could be fun to use!
In my experience Poseidon gives the user much more control over the USB system than ANY other OS I've used (certainly Windows and MacOS X, can't say about Linux). So I wouldn't necessarily expect the OS 4 USB stack to ever come up to its level, and most users won't need it to either.
That said a nicer UI, more USB class support and more configurability for the classes it does support would definitely be appreciated in the final release!
