Nice to see Zeoneo branching out into AmigaOS software development. Plus it's also nice to hear about another application coming to AOS4 .

Cheers

Great news! Zeoneo's DE stuff is apparently very good, and CandyFactory was always a neat app. I wonder what features are planned for version 2?

Anyway, it looks like one more piece of quality software is headed for OS4. Thanks, Zeoneo!

Wow, excellent news! Surely one of the gem titles to get for AmigaOS4!

Wasn't CandyFactory supposed to be a flagship
application of MorphOS?

seeing as DE and AOS development is quite different (in the tools that you use) i am going to wait to see how they do on this one.

i have planet zed so i know what they can do for the DE, now its time to prove what they can do for AOS4.

It is an extremely good thing this is being updated and released though, just simply the number of people that have priased it in the past.

Cool!
Candy Factory is a really nice app, but was always running a bit
unstable with PowerUP-emulation. Hopefully that won't be a problem any
more as soon as it is AmigaOS4 native :)

If it was, then this might be a little blow to MOS. Last thing I heard was that Zeoneo had no interest in MOS at all. Not that this matters much to me...

Of course. Still, they do have the original author on board, so they shouldn't be completely clueless as to what needs to be done.

if you stick to C/C++ its not that much trouvle doing DE/AOS dev work(you need to do the OS partch work for each though but that goes for any cross platform work). If you do VP / ASM coding all bets are off though :)

There are cross platform toolkits available for both DE and AOS though.

Stop doing what started so many flamewars so far...

Stop mentioning MorphOS on an AOS thread.
People didn't like it when it happened on A.org, when for example x posted something
positive about MOS on an AOS thread or something against AOS on a MOS thread.

Don't do the same with MOS, here.

When posting positive stuff about a product is not tolerated, posting negative stuff about it
shouldn't be, either.

It's not that easy, it's a program using the AmigaOS API.
You have to codet the UI and all platform specific stuff from scratch
to make it work on AA.

Hey, it was a fair question. If it should develop into a flamewar, I'm sure the moderators will do their thing. Besides, I don't really think we have many MOS supporters around here anyway (this apparently being a site aimed at Amiga people).

I don't think that it's right to do it here cause it simply because it won't degrade into a flamewar.
Either you do it everywhere or nowhere.
I'm not here to start any flamewars. I hate em.
I'm just here cause I believe that I'm an Amiga person, regardless the fact that I support MOS.
I will use OS4 as well. I've got an Amiga and I buy Amiga products. I just don't believe that I have to
support Amiga Inc to be an "Amigan".

@AmiGR

It isn't that hard, either. You need to stick to an abstraction layer, but usually the UI elements that OSes supply are rather similar to each other.

Sorry, don't agree with that. If they bring up Amiga in a MOS thread on Morphzone, I wouldn't be bothered one bit, and I doubt the people over there would be bothered either.

Anyway, it's not up to you or me to decide what goes and what doesn't go around here.

> I'm just here cause I believe that I'm an Amiga person, regardless the fact that I support MOS.

Okay, I have no problem with that. I am here mostly because I'm tired of the negativity towards anything Amiga on Amiga.org and ANN, and also because I don't care too much about MOS.

Anyway, we are already off topic, I you want to continue discussing, send me a PM.

Invasion doesn't look too shabby, either...I hope we will get those games on the Amigaone sometime in the not too distant future.

Yes, unfortunately I didn't see this one yet. I had a look at Planet Zed on Fleecy's laptop some time ago, therefore I can comment on that

Thomas told me that Invasion looks great, too...
