Events   Events : SEAL meeting Friday 10th March
posted by sicky on 28-Feb-2006 20:34:13 (2339 reads)
SEAL will be holding the March meeting at our new venue on Friday 10th March.

Venue address is:

Wickford Community Association
Market Road
Wickford
Essex
SS12 0AG

The venue has a bar

For directions see our website http://www.seal-amiga.co.uk/meetings.html

We will have several AmigaOnes with at least one of them running latest beta OS4 build. Also we will be demonstrating AmigaKit.com SATA controller with SATA hard drive attached, and for those interested we also cater for Mac OS too now.... (ducks and runs for cover) as SEAL has gone dual platform!

Not sure, but we may also have the new issue (23) of Total Amiga for checking out and sale at this meeting.

I wonder if people would read more or just stop at this line.

As long as it grabs their attention the bar is really quite busy as it goes, a good atmosphere.

I'm waiting for the negative fallout due to the fact we have gone dual format, but so many of us had Macs as well as Amigas we thought why the hell not!

I'm looking forward to visit you there and meet everybody in person -- or meet you again, for those of you whom I've already run into elsewhere (like AmiGBG).

And I've also arranged to rendez-vous there with Tony, who's visiting from Australia, so that bar might come in handy ...

I wish it would be practical to bring my machine; I could also show e.g. a nicely working SATA setup with the full four disks on the 3114, with 1 TB of storage. But my XE is not exactly luggable

Anyway, looking forward to a nice evening among fellow Amigans (yeah, well, and Macheads ).

Best regards,

Niels

Very handy indeed eh

Shame I wont have my AmigaOne either coming straight from work (but will have my more portable G5 iMac...), but fellow beta tester and Total Amiga editor Robert Williams will have his machine (AmigaOne XE) as will hyph-n with update 4 installed and a SATA (3112) controller fitted to show off.

Should be great fun, just wish I didn't have to get up 05:30 in the morning to go to work

Well we have our usual OS4 update written by myself and Robert and a users view by Fuzion, although not a review "proper" as such it gives you a good insight to OS4 update 4 pointing out all new stuff and improvements.

Does TotalAmiga have a new home ?

On a serious note, could you give me you web site address (I may subscribe again to TotalAmiga)?

Thanks.

As Mathew of AmigaKit.com has pointed out either directly from us at http://www.totalamiga.org/subscribe.html or indeed from him at http://www.amigakit.com whilst making your Amiga purchases why not order a subscription to Total Amiga whilst shopping there

Hopefully not socks... I have two draws full of them which I can close only with great difficulties...
