Here is late word on what's going on at the Vintage Computer Festival East 4.0. First, a message from Evan Koblentz, VCF East organizer, dated Jan. 4, and second, an update from Evan, dated Jan. 26.

Sorry for not getting out the word promptly,

Subject: Chuck Peddle @ VCF East

Hello Commodore friends ... Just wanted to let you three know that
Chuck Peddle confirmed his VCF East 4.0 attendance today. The event will be
Saturday, June 9, at our computer museum [http://www.infoage.org] here
in New Jersey. We may add Sunday, June 10 as well, but the Commodore
panel (30th anniversary of the Pet) will be Saturday starting at 10:30AM.
Our location is about one hour south of Newark Liberty airport and about 90
minutes northeast of Philadelphia airport. We'll announce a show hotel
when the date gets closer.

[snip]

- Evan Koblentz

PS - let me know if any of you are interested in exhibiting / speaking
at our show.

----------------

January 26th, 2007, 01:07 PM

Update -- VCF East 4.0 will be TWO days instead one this year

We decided to make the event June 9-10, instead of only June 9. Also, in
addition to Chuck Peddle, the special 30th bday panel [Saturday] for
Commodore's computer division will include Bil Herd, Bob Russell, and
Dave Haynie.

Event sponsored by MARCH (http://www.midatlanticretro.org) at the InfoAge
Science Center (http://www.infoage.org) in Wall, N.J.

- Evan

And my only hope is a live video streaming. Is there going to be one?

@Thread

Awesome! I hope there is a live stream. It would really bring alive the almost larger than life Commodore empoyees that were described in "On the Edge-The Rise and Fall of Commodore". Great book Shame about the company

Irving Gould - juries out in my mind. He saved Commodore in the 60's and ransacked them in the 90's. I guess Commodore gave the Amiga a chance, for that I'll always be gratful Shame Irving not around these days Would be good to hear his side of the story.

Organizer Evan Koblentz wrote to me that this event would be preserved, but he did not detail whether it would be on video, audio, still photographs, etc.

This might be fun. I have not seen it listed on the site yet. I think I might come to hang out. Maybe we could make something more of this. A little Amiga reunion maybe. When will this be listed on the website?

Sorry to be obtuse, but do you mean the Amigaworld.net website or the MARCH website? If you mean this website, then I guess this is the announcement, unless there is another way to list it.

On this website you should also list it in the calendar location
http://amigaworld.net/modules/events/addevent.php
On the March website the date is mentioned but nothing of any Amiga people or reference to Amiga computers.
Can you get this updated?
