Announcement   Announcement : AMIWEST INFORMATION RELEASE # 1
posted by Anonymous on 7-May-2007 20:56:47 (2023 reads)
AMIWEST INFORMATION RELEASE # 1

This is the first information release for AmiWest 2007, the Amiga show in
the Western United States. We're in the capitol of California, the world's
fifth largest "nation," and presenting the 10th version of AmiWest October
19-21, 2007. Please go to http://sacc.org/amiwest for the latest
information.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

AMIWEST IS BACK FOR OUR 10TH SHOW!

Yes, it's been ten years since John Zacharias and serveral others initiated
Amiwest. They did it so that Amiga users on the West Coast of California
could have an Amiga "superstore" once a year to fill up on things Amiga.
No one even dreamed that we would still be here for a 10th show!

ENTHUSIASTIC RESPONSE TO AMIWEST 2006

We had such an enthusiastic response to AmiWest 2006 that we had to do it
again. Everyone at last year's banquet voted to come again for 2007. So,
as always, we're working to make it the best AmiWest yet.

SURPRISE GUESTS, NEW VENDORS . . . AMIWEST HAS IT ALL!

And we'll be writing more to you in weeks to come about who we're working
with to make this a great show. There's already one big surprise in store
and more on the way.

SO MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS TODAY

Right now, we're confirmed for a one-day Saturday event with setup time on
Friday evening and whatever you want to do on Sunday. Conditions may
warrant a second day, so stay tuned to our website at

http://sacc.org/amiwest

for the latest info.

===============================================================
SO REMEMBER. . .

AmiWest is back and on track for a great 10th show. Our venue is ready and
we're accepting reservations NOW! Don't miss out! Bring all your friends.
It's going to be the best AmiWest yet! We've always come through with a
great show and we're set to continue that tradition. Here's where and how
to make your reservations. Ask for Jamie at the Clarion if you have hotel
questions others can't answer. Otherwise, here's where to write and who
to call.

Sacramento California 95821

Glad to see another AmiWest is on it's way.

I'll be retired at the end of September this year. So, unlike last year when I had taken vacation to attend AmiWest at the end of July and the show moved to October I will not have the same disappointment this year. Only, I have a new disappointment. I am planning on going overseas on October 31. Not sure I can arrange AmiWest 10 days earlier.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

This is going to be an interesting amiwest - it will either be packed because the dispute's been settled in a good way and people can buy hardware with OS4, or it will be empty.

I'm going to wait a few weeks before deciding whether to spend the few hundred bucks on a plane ticket.

Either way, I will be there. I'm sad I missed last year. It's good to see the early planning for the show because it helps me schedule it above anything else.
