Any of these games worth getting for a 030 50mhz AGA classic Amiga?

Under Cover, Lieux Communs, Storia Ancestrale and perhaps Amijeweled can be launched with an AGA 68k Amiga.

@Daff:

We are very sorry, but Amijeweled RTG will not work with AGA. This is because of resolution and colour restrictions of AGA machines. With 256 colour calculated dithering the graphics of the RTG version will look quite ugly and screen modes beyond 320 pixels wide are quite slow with 8 bit colour depth, hence we had restricted Amijeweled to RTG machines for now.

The good message: We are working on a special AGA version right now and it will look very nice on AGA, with hand optimized low res graphics (the look is quite as nice as the RTG one, albeith it will use 256 colours only). Niels once again did a very nice job with the graphics

Speed wise it will be quite fast, we think, as low res gives sufficient bandwidth for very fast, blitter driven graphics (>50 fps) and we are going to use direct blitter access now, as graphics.library blitter functions are too slow with AGA (we used OS funtions for the RTG version and it becomes very slow even on low spec Zorro II RTG machines, sadly. We are working on a direct video mem access library, too, that will certainly give a reasonable speed boost for blit-like operations on such machines, and will be used for future projects).

With kind regards

@BigD

Many people play Total Chaos AGA just fine on an 030 50 Mhz machine.
640x512 50 fps. Have fun.

Just a thought.

It would be kinda nice to have links to the games that are being voted on, on your website.

Not only would it be good promotion but perhaps even lead to a few sales for the commercial game authors. Those games sites may even be interested in cross linking to yoursite as well.

It would also make the voting easier for those who may never have heard of the games previously.
