Announcement   Announcement : Amiga Launches New Version of AmigaAnywhere
   posted by d0c on 3-Feb-2008 13:27:13 (2771 reads)
Amiga, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of AmigaAnywhere™ version 2 to registered Amiga SDA developers. AmigaAnywhere 2 is the next step in the development of the new Amiga Operating System. AA2 content can run on a variety of different platforms, covering devices such as mobile phones, STBs, laptops, PCs and servers. The latest version of AmigaAnywhere facilitates media-rich content anytime, anywhere..

Under the new platform, developers are able to quickly and efficiently create multimedia applications and services that are written once then, in a single step, compiled to multiple target platforms.

To get more information, and/or to register as an SDA developer, visit www.amiga.com/developers. Also see our list of AA2 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

H,
I've sent my signed Software Development Application form in. It arrived as an attachment via email.

I even got to speak to Bill MC from AInc for a few minutes for my effort.

Now waiting feedback from AInc, $400.00 AA2 SDK bundle all for FREE is good news to me.
Just sign and fax into AInc.

Everyone should also read AA2 FAQ Section. It is definetely clear that AA2 is not OS5. I think it could be a real product with true support.

Has anyone been able to determine if AA2 is a complete reworking of AA or an upgrade?

If it's an extension, did Amiga license the IP from the holding company controlling the assets of Tao?

Huh? Has Amiga licensed the new version of Hollywood?

Best regards,

This will surely be overshadowed by the fact that tomorrow is PANCAKE DAY! (in England at least)

This is good news, indeed. It seems that things are moving more visibly, now. I look forward to learning more.
