This was first reported at AmigaWeb.net news item.

At least it was posted 24 hours before AmigaWorld.net.

I wonder, as owner of AmigaWeb.net, why is it that AmigaWeb.net never ever
are credited as the source of AmigaWorld.net news, when it is required that AmigaWorld.net news items always needs to be named as source?

I really find this being very odd and unfair politics...

1) This was reported by a user.
2) This has not in any way been copied and pasted from your site, it's an independent report.
3) This was on IRC 3 days ago, when it got posted on youtube, before it made the news on your or our site, I just didn't find it worthy of a news item myself.
4) We cannot go around visiting 10 different Amiga news sites every time a user submits a news item to see if it may be copied from anywhere (which this one isn't anyway), if a webmaster thinks someone levelled their news, please let us know.
5) Had you not had this attitude, I would have edited the post to credit your site, even though it is *not* the source for this news item. I will personally not do that.

If a news item is copied from another source, then policy is to give credits, but not for independent reports that are not copied.

i actually mentioned this video back on Feb 16th during the Commodore 64 chat
on #c64friends. Eric gave a preview of the video at the Saturday Ami-tech Dayton
Ohio user group meeting. At that time he couldn't release it yet because of
the song being copyrighted and needed permission from the holder of the
copyright.

@Alef, Kicko, and others

Zardoz already told our stand on the matter, no problem with this news item, just a small addon.

Generally, regarding news, if you write your own report of a news item you have seen somewhere else and submit it here, you are the source.
Though, if you saw it on another Amiga website, it is a good gesture to mention the website in the end, it gives the website some encouragement.

And of course, if you copy text, you should always put is as " from aw.net followed by the text quote" or at least mention aw.net as source, or wherever you copied text from.

If i copy/paste text from frying page do i then need to write "from FP page" even if there is a link to the page or is it only when you see the info on other news pages ?

Yeah, the virus part was cute, Hehe.

Brings whole new meaning to the phrase, "Let them eat cake!" Buahahahahaha!

I loved the part where they smash her to pieces, drop the pieces into a vat, and... she's still singing!!!

I also like that Eric brought in the MOS butterflies and unleashed them on the two other machines. Hehehe.
