posted by Jedi on 28-Aug-2008 13:12:59 (4046 reads)
Still an official statement of RELEC (http://www.relec.ch), your distributor of Amiga Software & Hardware :

The new configuration "TheRedOne" is the fruit of the experiences gained with our first kind of integration, the famous AmigaOne "micro-A1" which has already given you an idea of our personal label.

This configuration enabled us to highlight qualities of the SAM440ep motherboard by ACube Systems (http://www.acube-systems.com) : very low consumption, silence, power and current technology, combined with an extreme integration.

Moreover, "TheRedOne" will be able to follow you everywhere with our concept of protection and transport. Come to visit our offers now : "TheRedOne" and... SAM440ep on http://www.relec.ch/samantha/sam440ep.html !

@jorkany

I never thought i'd say this but...

*deep breath*

I agree with jorkany.

Even though SAM440 is produced by ACube, it doesn't make it related. Just because they happen to distribute OS4.0 for Classics and OS4.1 doesn't make it any more Amiga related then any other technology...

:-/

@ jorkany

ACube in an Amiga company and they always wanted to make SAM an Amiga platform, i'm pretty sure we will have good news about OS4 in the future or when the court case will be over.

Just wait, amigans are good at that

What's Hi-Torro got to do with Amiga?

I think the SAM Platform has got some good life in it. AROS already runs on the system.

PS. I really like the new site. More structured sites like this are needed, more advertising etc...

Come on. The people who created the SAM are real Amiga enthusiasts and created the board for us - Amigans. It's not their fault it cannot run OS4 yet.

There has to be a reason this was called "TheREDOne"

That is good to hear. I know a little French and a little Spanish, but hardly enough to be fluent. I should order some Rosetta Stone software and try to get better.
