Announcement   Announcement : Amiga Future 75 (November/December 2008) Out
   posted by AndreasM on 4-Nov-2008 15:16:30 (4289 reads)
The Amiga Future 75 (November/December 2008) is released today. This means that all subscriptions, preorders and dealer supplies have been shipped.

In this issue you'll find reviews of the recent version of AmigaSYS, OWB, AmigaOS 4.1, MorphOS 2.1, AmiSoundEd, Indivision and lots of more. Besides that we have an interview with Hans-Jörg Frieden and ACube as well as reports of the Classic Computing, Pianeta and Evoke. (Read more)

A more detailed description of contents and some excerpts can be found at: http://www.amigafuture.de/kb.php?mode=article&k=3135

The Amiga Future is available as a English or German print magazine directly from the editorial office and some Amiga dealers. The Amiga Future can be obtained as a single issue and subscription each with or without a cover CD.

On the Amiga Future cover CD you always find lots of PD software and some full versions like Zombie Massacre, Gloom 3 and others. We ask all users interested in this magazine to order it as soon as possible. Amiga Future needs your support.

We are looking for editors for the magazine. You should own a classic Amiga or Pegasos and know it's workings. Furthermore you should have some experience in writing reviews. As well as that, your native language has to be either German or English which you should be fluent in.

Please don't forget: The Amiga Future is a community project.

In addition we are still looking for translators for the magazine. Again your native language should be German or English and you should be fluent in reading/writing both of them.

Interested? Please contact us via mail at: Andreas@amigafuture.de

Here's me, again.

You can probably guess what I'm gonna ask, so I won't bother.

Nice to see another issue on its way to me, but I did not read about a full color version. Maybe you are making wishful thinking? Most likely full color is too expensive for this small circulation.

It was just a thinking, but rumours say that the chief editor has a special full color edition in every issue.

Well, as alaways I shall wait your new issue other time, because I love your magazine and is the only computer magazine that I read, I prefer this magzine than the PC magazines where only write articles paid for the manufacturers, without an deep analysis.

@RoqueFort

I don't know what you're going to ask but I have a question....

Why can't I purchase by Credit Card? I thought this was the 21st century.
This is a spur of the moment purchase item.
I'm not going to be buggered setting up a paypal account or whatever else.

That and the inane website with broken English does not bode well either.
I wanna know what it costs in my currency as well, which most Credit Card portals give you.

So they've lost my purchase again!!
They could make more money than Hyperion would if they bothered.

Sorry to be critical....but I would really want you guys to succeed...
and actually take my money.

@RoqueFort

ahm, sorry. no

@About Color

I dont think that we have any change to print the mag in color. for this we need many, many more subscribers.

@BigBentheAussie

> Why can't I purchase by Credit Card? I thought this was the 21st century.

The Problem are we are a very little company. to get in germany as a little company a credit-card-contract are not easy. and when we can get really a contract we have the problem that the costs are very high.

the users can send us the money to our bankaccount or pay with paypal. other ways we cant do. :( sorry

Info about editors. This supposed to mean, writing various reviews about programs or games, or it's something specific?

How to renew the subscription or how to order a new subscription starting from issue number 76?

Also I don't understand the following sentence (as stated here):
Quote:
The 1-Year-subscription from the Amiga Future will be extended to one year automatically if no written cancellation arrives us before the last four weeks of the subscription duration.

@BigBentheAussie

My query was whether my movie, MCoC, which was mentioned at MAG bash, has been released on Amiga Future's CD.

This has been going on for a few months, so I thought it didn't need to be mentioned any more, a theory which HAS got through to Andreas, acknowledged by a certain post here.

Well, doesn't look like MCoC will get into Amiga Future or onto its CD. Three years of work, staring at an old M1438S, for very little recognition... well, I expect you're all tired of my whining. Enough of that, but I won't change my avvie yet.

renew is very easy. send us the money. thats all :)

you can send us the money (a letter for this are included with the last issue of the subscription) are you order a new subscription in the shop and write in the order form the comment "renew".

you cant make nothing wrong. you dont get 2 subscription or any other when you forget the word renew :)

> Also I don't understand the following sentence (as stated here):

thats german law. for subscriptions we must write this.

Ok. Got that. For example, I can write whatever I want, or it's something specific that I must choose to write a review of for the current issue?

My native language is not English, but I don't have problem with that.

This means that if you don't cancel your subscription at least 4 weeks before it expires it will be automatically renewed for another year.
