@Rogue

When are we going to see a more more complete version of OS4.1 for the SAM440EP?

USB2.0 and video drivers please?

Hope to see an update for the Sam user, in respect to all the users out there who bought a sam.. There is a lot of work that need to be done on the sam, to have a complete full and usable os for that board.. now that the peg version is out, hope that the developers don't forget the sam board..
The peg II is no more available in shop.. the Sam is a reality...

So why not to make a port for some CHEAP mobo with PPC? If you can Pegasos what not some IMac with PPCG3/G4 which I can get almost for free?

WHAT is the point of Amiga OS for Sam440?

Poster: PulsatingQuasar Date: 1-Feb-2009 5:02:57 I'm sorry but I really don't understand the decision to support a few more hundreds of second hand boards whilst there are tens of thousands of Mac Mini's and also Powerbooks to run OS 4 on.

yep I agree...and the funny part is the reasons NOT to support mac mini seem to apply here for the pegasos II...second hand board, not in development anymore, dead end etc etc etc...

I dont think mac mini should be supported, nor do I think pegasos II should be supported...Im no programmer, but It 'sounds' like supporting a platform requires actual work and this would be costing them X amount of dollars of course...

Q to the IT experts here - Would projects like this make the cost of SAM higher than it need be?

EDIT - I just searched ebay for pegasos and got nothing, zero, zip.
geez, if your going to support a dead platform, choosing pegasos over mac mini looks insane from where im sitting...

Now I'm so happy that I didn't spend $600 for Sam440. If you can release AmigaOS4.1 for Pegasos, so do this for iBook G3/G4, MacMini and we will have tons of hardware. Done.

Full developer documentation is available for the Pegasos II, but not the MacMini. Therefore it should take significantly less effort to get it running on the Pegasos II compared to the MacMini.

I thought the ethernet chip docs weren't available, or had difficult NDA restrictions to get access or someting like that. Do I remember wrong?
