Nice review. Actually I am in the proces of getting YDL 3 on my A1. I just love YDL and it's THE Linux distro for the A1.

Hi,

I am running YDL 3.0 on a old PPC Mac (using a ATI Radeon for display). It works good. I upgraded it with a Sonnet (sp) Processor upgrade (G3 400mhz 1mb cache) and 384mb ram.

I still like MacOS X on my G4 mac and iBook better, but that's me.

I had no troubles installing YDL 3.0. I was glad to get some use out of an old PowerMac 7300/200 desktop.

@coder

So is it just a simple task of downloading the ISO's and installing it on the A1? Or do you have to tinker with it first?

You need a installer for it. It is not a simple matter of having the cd's. But the installer is being made as we speak. And when that is ready, well you got THE perfect Linux distro for the A1.
