I do not agree, the game is actualy fine, desent speed the only problem is its too low resolution 320x256x8 do not cut it and makes the game fail.

but every think else if fine in my optinion.

Thanks for the port, I'll try the demo out as soon as it downloads (230MB is a bit big).

Curious as to why not, since the game runs on classic Amigas ok...

I'll have to agree. The game is has probably the worst gameplay I have experienced for a long time.

Would be fine as freeware/shareware, but they actually charge money for this...

I'm sorry to say this, since they clearly put a lot of effort into the technical side, but this has to be the WORST driving game I've ever played:

The car is almost UNdrivable, which is ridiculous for a *racing* game. As soon as you need to steer left/right a little bit with the joystick, you find that the car sharply veers to the left/right, thus rending it uncontrollable, and likely going in the wrong direction. You then smash into a tree or HILL, stopping you car going forward, and you have difficulty making it go in any direction to "uncrash" it. I spent the first few minutes going in circles, until I crashed into a hill (which is what basically marks the edges of the road), and could not move. At that point I pressed Ctrl-Amiga-Amiga, and thought how it was wasting 640MB of disk space

I can see why Amiga Future (IIRC) gave it a very low score.

@AndreasM:

will the owners of the old version get the os4.x patch for free or do we have to rebuy the whole game?

i have no problems in supporting developers but i still wonder if this is a free update to owners of the classic version or not.

cheers and thanks for the native version.

I really liked intro video they looked nice, but i'm hoping for a remake whit better details.

The game play:

The game is like driving in a fog where you only see few meters in-front of your car, you need to be able to see at least half kilometer for the game to be playable. (z axes need to be extended
)

The game will look alot better, if it was updated to run in 640x480 or 800x600 x 16bit.

Bugs:

Can't get out of the hi-score, tryed pressing ESC, ENTER, SPACE, RETURN whit out any luck.

I tried it on in 640x480 in MOS, worked fine by i couldn't quit from the hiscore list either. And i agree that the steering is bad and the view distance is too short (but perhaps that is configurable?).

Personally, I am happy that they ported a game onto the new Amiga OS.

Unfortunately it was not the likes of Morrowind - elder scrolls 3, or Gothic 2, Or even Warcraft 3.

As for this game, will test it tonight, but I have heard so many negatives, that I am already concerned.

Wish you guys all the best in Porting or creating another game for OS4.x

Infact, I think it were a Good idea if you asked the community what we are looking for.

I personally would Love to see an RPG that is similar to Morrowind or Gothic 2, these are bloody awesome, and Gothic 2 is better than Gothic 3 IMHO, not graphically, but gameplay wise.

Cheers

P.S. Is daggerfall source code open source yet?

It's seems to be not a native OS4/MorphOS version.

On my Efika, MOS 2.1 it runs only with about 1fps for whatever reason. What is your configuration?

It is in fact an adapted 68K application for Classic/OS4/MOS.

I think we'd all like that, unfortunately sales from an Amiga Morrowind would probably not even pay for 1 hour of work for a regular sized modern day development team. And if it was to be a spare time project for a lone bedrooom coder it would probably take around 50 years to complete.

Maybe for the reason that is stated on the above linked website:

"running on MorphOS? yes, but not Efika "

Yes.. But why? Even on Efka - from the hw specs there should be no reason why not.. Maybe the gfx driver...

@Kicko

good :)

@ChrisH

We would have a big Demo that the User can correct testing the game.

@Toaks

A Update are available for the Original-CD + 15,- Euro (included p+p).

but Desert Racing are not nativ. Its only make useable on OS4 and MOS.

@Gebrochen

> Infact, I think it were a Good idea if you asked the community what we are looking for.

ahm, we port only our own software. no other software.

How does Flyin High work (if at all?) on OS4? As I recall, that was actually a pretty good 3D racing game.
