Btw, it is possible with latest Hollywood to have acces to the "menu" items ? I.e. making system programms, in which we can access by pressing right mouse button, and choice all the necessary options ? (like in all system programms) ?

I have a complaint!
2010 already seems to be my most expensive Amiga year since a long time.

... Hmm, my girlfriend will never notice me buying Hollywood but a new computer is pretty hard to hide unless I set it up in the garage... First Hollywood upgrade then X!

First of all I want to congratulate Andreas and Airsoft Softwair with the release of Hollywood 4.5

We (Ferrule Media) have been allowed to use v. 4.5 for some time developing our latest software. It feels great to be able to use Amigas to develop commercial software!

I can assure you that Hollywood is getting better and better by each relase - Andreas Falkenhahn is truely an amazing coder!

hehe.. it seems that alot of great stuff is happening in the amigascene these days!

I do hope alot of os4 /morphOS users buys this software and take part of the great Hollywood community !

Can it be used as a video editing software like on pc's. For example load several avi/mp4 etc and have a timeline. Put some music over it. Effects etc ?

Making own music videos, when someone marries and want to make a dvd with photos and video with subtitles effects etc.

If not maybe it will come in future versions ?

One of the real benefits of using Hollywood is the feature that makes it possible to save executables for several platforms.

When it comes to our infochannel Dental Kanal we are able send demos of the product as either windows or mac-executables. The real product however is sold with a SAM 440ep 667mhz running os4.1.

The presentation is running in the resolution 1366x768. Since we use hardware-accelerated crossfade-effects it does need alot of gfx-memory – the sam has got 64mb gfx-mem.

For people lucky enough to own os4 I have uploaded a few example executables of the os4-version. This is ment as an example of what is possible with Hollywood 4.5. On our homepage you will also be able to download pc/mac-versions so that you may compare the different versions.

The presentations may be paused using «space» and moved forward/backward using the left or right arrow-key

Glad to see Hollywood getting better and better, it's definitely the most unique application we have, a kind of AMOS on steroids, or to use a better analogy, AmigaDE done right

To increase Hollywood's popularity I'd suggest a couple thing:

1) Offer two licenses for the Hollywood/Designer/Malibu bundle
a) a commercial one for people selling the applications or using them in a commercial environment
b) a personal one for the rest of us who are just curious or want to produce freeware

I can't shell out $220 just to satisfy my curiosity, but I'd spend $50 as I know it has great potential, and if I got the hang of it and then managed to make a commercially viable application with it, I'd gladly upgrade my license.

2) Add support for compiling Linux, Windows Mobile, Android, iPhone/iTouch and Symbian executables.

Easier said than done of course, but it would dramatically increase your potential customer base.

Congratulations for this new multimedia software that has almost the same features that Flash, almost because still to Hollywood needs one external player and why not one player for OWB, TimberWolf, NetSurf, etc., our own multimedia format.

Let me assure you that Hollywood/Designer is well worth the full-price. It is really both fun and easy to use - I don't know how to code myself so I work using Designer.

Hollywood has matured and been improved over several years with hard work - and with all the features cramped into version 4.5 the pricetag could very well have been the double.

I can't really understand how Airsoft Softwair still manages support the amiga-community with such a great software-package. Andreas is one of the few commercial developers left in the amiga-scene so we should all do our best to show our support! :)

Hollywood is simply stunning :)

I've read that Hollywood makes possible to create (besides typical presentations and videos) complex and standalone applications (even games) for several OS-es. Maybe some of you already created something of that sort and can share it to show people the power of Hollywood? Would be great to find some Windows presentations, games and apps to show it people who don't know nothing about today's Amiga :)
