It's not that I especially doubt this achievement. I really hope it is true. However, it would have helped with credibility if you had at least shown the page you were printing on the screen. Even better if you had manipulated it on-screen and then printed.
A StarWars scroller and shaky cam does not a good demo make. (Yoda?)

Trust me ; )
download a nightly and type: "copytopar ?"

The problem is that i have limited amount of time, my priority is to work further on broadway. I will have time do make nice videos soon. I'm preparing a public presentation for the Event in Essen(Germany)

For now we can only print with Postscript compatible printers. Ghostscript is included in Broadway/Icaros and Cinnamon Writer can export to PS/PDF. More things are coming soon to enable printing for every kind of app. The interested developer needs nothing more than calling some shell commands.

@phoenixkonsole

Thanks for your efforts phoenixkonsole.

But honestly, if you had typed something in Cinnamon Writer and printed that you would be getting dancing bananas instead of cautious optimism!!!

I'll say here what I said elsewhere ... I took what was available and made them work ... this in no way replaces a printer.device but I'm also not done.

Ghostscript has printer drivers and with something like "gs -sDEVICE=stcolor -r300 -sOutputFIle=RAM:tempfile gs813:examples/tiger.ps" and "copytopar ram:tempfile" printing worked here on a Epson Stylus Color 600 parport inkjet printer already back in 2004 in AROS.

@georg

it's merely just been updated to support usb

ps. if I recall I actually got the idea from your old post... in the last printer debate ... I just wanted to be able to use a printer that was available now.

ps1. the biggest issue with using ghostscript for drivers is data has to originate as postscript(not that I don't think it should be.)

http://www.aros-broadway.de/printdemo.tiff

This is what i used in the video.

The printer demo button i added to braodway does the following:
it checks if in RAM: exists a outputfile (Cinnamon can export to PS/PDF) then it sends this via copytopar (Terminillis added support for USB, ethernet works too) to the printer.
If there is no Output-file in RAM: it will print a TEST-file - shown in the video.
