Wow, nice! eMacs are super cheap here.. theres a few for about $300 nzd.. or about 160 euro roughly. It's pretty attractive pricing for Amiga lands. Maybe I'll have to give morphos a proper whirl on the powerbooks once I graduate. :) I got windows7 laptop, an ubuntu netbook.. an amiga laptop would be a cool addition too.

I think you misunderstood the announcement. It was the release of support of the G4 eMac that was delayed because the team was hoping to have support for the G4 PowerMacs completed for the 2.5 version release, but when work on the PowerMac release took longer than they had first thought it would, they finally decided to release 2.5's added features, bug fixes and support for the eMac now, and support for the G4 PowerMacs will be in a later release, probably 2.6.

MorphOS was demonstrated on the eMac many months ago, probably as early as version 2.2, or 2.3 was running on the eMac in that demo. so I really don't think you should feel that the support for a G4 PowerMac has been delayed in any way due to work being done for the G4 eMac.

Not much new features (or things I would like to call features). However, eMac support is great and new price is nice!

A friend of mine bought an eMac G4/1.25Ghz for 50Euros. If you add MorphOS license he can have full MorphOS2.5 running for 161Euros! lucky ####...

No, you do not have to pay to be able to use the update if you already have a MorphOS keyfile.

It can be considered as an update for existing users, hence it's free for them. All 2.x versions so far were free for all registered users, since 2.0, no matter which version you've registered with on which supported machine.

Additionally, on MorphOS there's a single installation medium (except "bigrom" image for Efika), which either can be used to install a new system from scratch, or to update an existing installation on all supported machines.
