Amigaworld.net News   Amigaworld.net News : Amigaworld.net featured in Micro Mart Magazine Issue 751

Full review from the magazine...

AMIGAWORLD.NET

One of the newer portals for the community, the site is a breath of fresh air. The more traditional news sites/web portals that are allegedly for the Amiga community have way too much content regarding the MorphOS and Pegasos product group that consititute a competitor to the real AmigaOS and AmigaOne. Though MorphOS is an Amiga- like, it's not the real thing and many supporters of the AmigaOS/AmigaOne combination have felt alienated on the other sites and have moved to AmigaWorld.net.

The site has been online for a good while now and has settled down nicely into a great online home for those of us who like to find out the latest Amiga news and discuss what is going on via the site's forums and chat rooms. Though there is some coverage of general computing news, it's unashamedly mainly an Amiga site, and thanks to slightly closer links to the guys at Amiga, Inc. one of the best things on the site is the "Ask Fleecy" section! For a few weeks now Fleecy Moss. of Amiga, Inc has been answering 10 questions or so every week that have been chosen by the site's team from those posted by the site visitors in the Ask Fleecy forums. Some of the questions have been a little close to the bone, but some good information has come forth from the exercise. It's worth checking the site out just for that!

"Micro Mart launched in 1985 as a fortnightly magazine, Micro Computer Mart became a weekly publication, due to readers demands, in 1991.
It is the only national weekly computer-trading magazine in the UK and aims to bring informative editorial to the intermediate/experienced home and small business user."

It's also the only weekly magazine with an Amiga section - the readers still like the old 'miggy (which won 1st place in a "bst computer of all time" competition

Thanks Sven
