very useful package. nice to see an os4 native version.
now os4 can be used to develop modern websites and also host them.
that's great but in the same time,
it's just too bad os4 lack what's needed to host and serve stuffs: stability.
now imagine servers around the world if they were using os4.
reseting every 2 or 3 days, completely freezing every other week...

aamp is a nice first step but, i hope to see oneday stability and
international languages support too..
without international language support the sysadmin would not even be able to
edit pages he's serving, fearing that would trash the file's encoding ;)

@ freeaks

I do not recommend this package for hosting because of performance and security reasons!

But it works stable and is very Unix compatible. Most projects written for Unix servers will run out of the box. Also international language support is working (UTF-8 and other encodings, gettext support etc.)

Great news. Too bad I don't have AOS4 to try it now. :)

You just finalized a VERY IMPORTANT package for the AOS platform.....way to go man, you're a hero! - remember the amiga should have been dead and now you just made sure modern webtools works with AmigaOS....thanks man!!

Hope you take on another important AOS assignment/bounty someday

Now go and celebrate that you did it.

It's nice to see MySQL working on Amiga.
Combined with iODBC and now database-driven business applications can be developed.

Excellent stuff! I'll probably use it for some home-type-stuff at some stage... As for firewall / DMZ, I'd say a DMZ wouldn't be the best of ideas, better to just forward the ports you're going to use (Port 80 for example). Let the router ant its firewall deal with all the funky requests from the internet at large.
